What does a timesheet contain?
- Employee name, registration number, department
- Working status for every day of the month (worked, on leave, on sick leave, weekly rest day, public holiday, absent)
- Total daily / monthly working hours
- Late arrival and early departure times
- Overtime hours
- Number of days used by leave type
How is a timesheet prepared?
In a manually prepared timesheet, entry and exit lists, leave forms and the shift plan are combined in a table at the end of the month. This process takes time, and missing records and typing errors are common.
Timesheet software combines entry and exit records, shift rules and approved leave automatically. HR only checks the flagged exceptions.

- Approved leave is reflected in the timesheet automatically
- A missing check-in or check-out is reported as an anomaly and corrected with a stated reason
- At the end of the month the timesheet is exported as Excel (xlsx) in one click
